I demand that everyone be as excited about the new Gorillaz album as me.

True, Murdoch, the Satanist bass player has been popping up everywhere but to me it seems relatively unnoticed. I feel like there’s been a hole in the music market since Gorillaz left the sound stage 5 years ago. I’ve just been cruising along on meaningless pop, listening to Radio One and waiting for something original to happen!

Although, technically, I should be over the whole virtual-band-with-storyline concept by now, I’m really not. An integral part of what makes Gorillaz great is that mystique. Phase Three of the story is starting with a cyborg Noodle, 2D being trapped in an underwater cell by Murdoch, and Russel… Well, I’m not even sure about him, but I know he’s on his way to Plastic Beach.
